Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will lead the daily operations of all functions of Sterile Processing and supervise Sterile Processing techs assigned to specific area(s) related to decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and storage, distribution of instruments, minor equipment cleaning and distribution throughout the facility
• You will assist the manager/ educator with training and orientation of staff, update tools used in the assembly of instrument sets, and will be responsible for operations of the department in the absence of the manager
  
• You will assist and participate in the department’s performance improvement activities, perform disciplinary actions and evaluations in collaboration with manager, and monitor/ check equipment and work area in order to ensure operational and safety compliance, detects hazards and safety problems related to both patients and equipments

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of accredited Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technician program required
• Sterile Processing Certification required
• Graduate from High School or equivalent program
• Minimum of two years’ experience in Sterile Processing or Surgical Technician
• Experience in processing surgical instruments and operation of sterilizers and instrument washers
• Knowledge of aseptic technique
