Product Development Director plans and directs the resources and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Establishes research and concept development projects and capabilities to innovate new products, product enhancements, and product redesign. Being a Product Development Director conducts market analysis and interacts with customers and prospects to identify new markets, articulate the value proposition, define requirements, and lead the development of a product roadmap. Oversees new product development and collaboration with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products support the organization's financial goals. Additionally, Product Development Director develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Product Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Product Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Job Summary:

    DDC4C. is seeking a Cultural Resources Field Director to join our team of professionals working in a variety of service lines including Federal, Forestry, Utilities, Water, Renewable Energy, Transportation, and Community and Urban Planning. This position is full-time, regular status, and salaried exempt, based out of our Albuquerque, New Mexico office. You will be responsible for managing fieldwork and assisting the Principal Investigator project management.

     

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    The Field Director is responsible for all aspects of fieldwork, report content, and preparation of National Register of Historic Places evaluations, preliminary evaluations of project effects, and cultural resource management recommendations. The successful candidate will assist the Principal Investigator in the development of new projects and client relationships, servicing existing clients, and driving the success of business in New Mexico and surrounding states. 

     

    Key Duties:

    • Timely and cost-effective implementation and completion of field work and report production.
    • Develop resource specific recommendations for the management of cultural resources using the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and other applicable criteria.
    • Maintain quality assurance/quality control of fieldwork.
    • Work on multidisciplinary teams for successful project execution.
    • Coordinate with clients, agencies, stakeholder communities including local Native American groups, BRIC peers, subcontractors, and vendors.

    Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A degree in anthropology or archaeology with three (3) years of professional experience researching and evaluating aboveground cultural resources within the CRM environment.
    • Meets or exceeds the qualifications detailed in 36 CFR part 61, for Archaeology.
    • Holds or can hold permits in the southwest region with the state of NM, Forest Service, BLM and Navajo Nation.
    • Expertise in historical and prehistoric archaeology and the application of NHRP criteria.
    • Understanding of U.S. historic preservation and cultural resource management laws and requirements, especially Section 106 of the NHPA.
    • Basic understanding of GIS applications as they relate to CRM.
    • Strong technical writing skills.
    • Ability to plan and execute work within budget and schedule.

    Must be able to pass a standard background check.

    • Strong work ethic.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability.
    • Effective communication skills.

     

    Desired Qualifications:

    • An M.A. or M.S. in anthropology or archaeology.
    • Five (5) years or more of professional experience researching and evaluating aboveground cultural resources within the CRM environment.
    • Three (3) years of supervisory and/or project management experience in the CRM environment.
    • Experience working with local Native American groups.
    • Experience with historical built environment resources.
    • Experience working with U.S. federal agencies.
    • Experience with Tribal Consultations and MOAs.
    • Proficiency using ESRI GIS software and data management as applied to CRM projects.
    • Ability to hold Burial Permit with State of New Mexico.

    DDC4C, a subsidiary of DDC, is currently and continually seeking qualified applicants for temporary, on-call, Archaeological Field Technician positions to support ongoing and upcoming archaeological survey, excavation, and monitoring projects. Primary duties will include assisting with background research, conducting archaeological surveys and construction monitoring projects. Work will include both one-day and multiple-day assignments. Work will include both one-day and multiple-day assignments. We anticipate that employment will begin immediately. While these are classified as temporary positions, we anticipate enough work to continue employment following initial projects.
