Product Development Manager manages the staff, resources, and processes required to implement the vision and strategy for new product development and product lifecycle management of existing products. Incorporates research and concept development projects and capabilities with market analysis, industry intelligence, and customer monitoring to support product roadmaps and innovate new products, enhancements, and redesigns. Being a Product Development Manager coordinates with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and manufacturing, to ensure that new and existing products meet development targets and support the organization's financial goals. Develops teams with the knowledge and expertise to fulfill product development objectives. Additionally, Product Development Manager typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Product Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. As a Product Line Manager, you will ensure that ALLO's product offerings remain innovative, competitive, and in line with market demands and technological advancements. In addition to managing the lifecycle of our products, you will collaborate closely with various departments to enhance operational efficiency, guarantee on-time delivery, and make significant contributions to our ongoing mission of providing state-of-the-art fiberoptic telecommunications solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with project teams to define Product and/or Project specifications used by the Product Development Team for enhancing existing Products and developing new ones. Organize and conduct meetings, ensuring they are in sync with project goals and resource utilization is optimized. Regularly review and update ALLO's product catalog, assessing the performance and market relevance of existing products. Identify and recommend products that require enhancements, modifications, or discontinuation, ensuring the catalog reflects current trends, technological advancements, and customer needs while aligning with ALLO's strategic goals. Prioritize product features and capabilities based on strategic value and feasibility. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering related field, Logistics management or associated discipline or relevant experience. EXPERIENCE: Five years’ experience as a Project Manager, Product Owner, Inventory Manager, or equivalent. Previous experience in the fiber MSO overbuilder space is preferred. SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Proficient in communicating and interacting effectively at all levels, including with executive teams. Expertise in managing cross-functional teams effectively. Strong skills in analysis, planning, and organization, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional writing, editing, and public speaking skills. Proven ability to establish and maintain effective follow-up systems to ensure timely and accurate handling of information requests. Flexibility and the ability to work efficiently amidst frequent interruptions. Familiarity with software applications like Microsoft Office, Visio, SmartSheets, MS Project, and PowerPoint. Preferred experience with Calix Engagement Cloud, Saleforce, Workday, and NiSC software.
