Production Control Director jobs in New Mexico

Production Control Director manages the overall strategic and tactical production control planning, scheduling, flow of materials, and monitoring to achieve goals and objectives for delivery dates, output quality, volume, cost, and optimization. Oversees scheduling and the development of methods to allocate and control resources and materials effectively. Being a Production Control Director establishes monitoring tools and processes to identify and plan for problems with waste, inefficiencies, and inventory in production operations. Recommends improvements to production technology and processes. Additionally, Production Control Director collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective planning methodologies and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Production Control Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Production Control Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining acceptable and accurate inventory levels.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

    • Practices safe work habits and complies with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
    • Reports relative inventory information back to Management, Inventory Control or Inside Sales for action.
    • Stocks warehouse locations with incoming goods.
    • Assist in inventory counts and reconciliations.
    • Handle incoming and outgoing product transfers, packaging and unpackaging.
    • Pull parts according to sales orders issued by Inside Sales and stage for assembly.
    • Determine that pulled part is intact and has no defects, brought on by long periods of storage.
    • Special projects or assignments as directed by management.

    EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Knowledge of wellhead equipment. Intermediate Computer and Language Skills, Basic Mathematical Skills and Basic Reasoning Ability.
