Alaska Overview
ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.6 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2021. The company produced an average of 197 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2021. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope—Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates the Alpine Field located on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.
Description
The Production Engineering Analyst will provide production database, production allocation, and production accounting support to Alaska assets including Greater Kuparuk Area (GKA), Western North Slope (WNS), and Greater Willow Area (GWA). The main responsibility will be to ensure accurate production allocation across all wells, participating areas and pools by collaborating with stakeholders from the Development, Operations, Commercial, Finance, Tax, and Revenue organizations to support the formal production allocation process and Alaska Technical Database updates.
Job Description
Your responsibilities may include:

Oversee monthly production closeout process, collaborating with Production Engineers on consistency and readiness
-
Perform timely corrections and maintenance of production database(s), so that production and financial reports, surveillance tools, and simulation models rely on consistent, accurate data
-
Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements to data model and algorithms, resulting in code implementations with IT
-
Troubleshoot data integration issues (stakeholders include Wells, Automation)

Lead monthly production allocation committee meetings for relevant assets
-
Accurately and proactively track wellbores (new wells, well types, status changes, injection fluid changes) to support regulatory well reporting and perform relevant data configuration
-
Gain in-depth understanding and be able to perform WNS monthly regulatory reporting: Colville River Unit (CRU) Gas Management Agreement (GMA), Greater Moose’s Tooth (GMTU) GMA Monthly Report, Gas Disposition Reports for CRU and GMTU

Understand the requirements for performing GMA inventory balance and volumes restatements, historical allocation corrections and related reporting

Understand and implement regulations and commercial agreements into production volume calculations and reporting
-
Provide SME support for the production allocation process to ensure delivery of IT and Production Engineering projects

Provide SME support for successful and timely production restatement and reporting
-
Support GWA production database and allocation planning and implementation
-
Support producing assets in retrieving data from various databases as requested for regulatory reporting and business processes

Maintain engineering tools/dashboards
-
Ensure other organizations, (e.g. Finance and Accounting), receive correct reporting data in a timely fashion
Basic/Required:
-
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or foreign equivalent

3 years of database management experience
Preferred:
-
5 years of direct production database and allocation management
-
1 years experience with coding generation and interpretation
-
1 years experience with building and maintaining technical tools/dashboards

Advanced written and verbal communication, networking, prioritization and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse, multi-disciplined workforce across organizational boundaries

Advanced planning skills including the ability to meet commitments and produce desired results

Intermediate knowledge of production allocation and accounting principles
