SUMMARY

The Production Supervisor will serve as a Leader and is expected to participate in and support management directed activities. Will be responsible for the direction of the department work force and the meeting of daily and weekly production schedules with an emphasis on Safety, Cost and Quality.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Leads and directs the team on the production line within a specified area to assure production goals are achieved.
• Responsible of material staging and flow, work closely with the materials and purchasing department to supply feedback internal and external on quality and delivery of parts.
• Assist in training and evaluating employees in order to grow individuals on the team.
• Provides open communication with employees by providing constant information and training regarding daily changes and requirements.
• Addresses and resolves employee issues as they arise in a timely manner, according to company policy.
• Supervise department’s productivity improvements by implementing and coaching Lean principles and maintaining 5S in the department.
• Assure safety goals are achieved and the area is a safe environment. Responsible for writing near miss incident reports and working with EHS coordinator and manager to implement corrective actions.
• Assure department quality goals by inspecting to verify conformance to specification, analyze all nonconformance’s for root cause and implement corrective procedures.
• Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Leads by example, ability to make decisions and willingness to follow polices and procedures, contributing a positive attitude through Teamwork.
• Effectively communicate with employees at all levels both within and outside of the department with facts or technical information.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• · High School Diploma or GED
• · 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• · Collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• · Ability to analyze issues and develop solutions in a demanding environment.
• · Task oriented with an ability to meet deadlines – “can do” attitude.
• · Organized with an ability to work independently.
• · Must possess basic computer skills in Excel, Word and skills sets applicable to learn other computer applications.
• · Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• · Ability to work weekends when required.
