Production Scheduler develops, prepares, and maintains production schedules to guide the production activities and resources that achieve maximum efficiency and meet output and timeline objectives. Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules. Being a Production Scheduler monitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources. Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting. Additionally, Production Scheduler typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Production Scheduler work is highly independent. May assume a team lead role for the work group. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. To be a Production Scheduler typically requires 7+ years of related experience. Job Summary
You will be helping the production teams deliver on time and on budget. As a Production Scheduler at Millennium Space Systems, you will work with the production teams to develop, baseline, and track production scheduling across several work centers. You will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support all program activities through all phases of the production process.
This position's internal job code is Mgr Scheduler. Our team is currently hiring for level 3-4.
Responsibilities- Work closely with members of each program team, production work centers, and production engineering teams to ensure all program deliverables are tracking to on-time and on budget deliveries.
- Partner with the production teams to develop, baseline, and track production scheduling across several work centers.
- Ensure the appropriate level of planning and scheduling functionality is applied to support all program activities through all phases of the production process.
- Maintain program schedules and deliverables, assist in developing alternatives to accommodate changes to the program plan and communicate any deviations of the current plan to the program team, and lead planning exercises.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience Planning & Scheduling in an engineering/manufacturing environment (preferably aerospace)
- Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Demonstrated Microsoft Project experience (or similar project scheduling software)
- Ability to interface and influence at all levels of an organization and thrive in a deadline-oriented environment
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail, teamwork, and excellent written/oral communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to focus on task optimization and be a strategic thinker
- Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in assisting small teams with planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
- Bachelor's degree or 6 years of working experience OR an Associate's degree or 8 years of working experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical/cost/schedule constraints to achieve customer satisfaction
- Experience with aerospace environments especially other than traditional, large prime contractors
- AACE and / or PMI professional certifications
Summary Pay-Range- Level 3: $29.01/hr - $42.67/hr
- Level 4: $35.55/hr - $52.28/hr
