PRODUCTION SCHEDULER

Responsibilities:

• Creating and maintaining production schedules
• Using workers and resources in the most effective manner
• Providing quick responses to production issues
• Identifying problems and helping improve processes
• Using software to generate reports and schedules
• Ensuring that production deadlines are met
• Recap production for day before- i.e. retime Recap production for day before- i.e. retime production based on actuals from day before
• Issue materials to work orders on a daily basis (for previous days’ production)
• Print work orders for following day and provide to production personnel
• Creating and maintaining production schedules
• Using workers and resources in the most effective manner
• Providing quick responses to production issues
• Reviewing Accounting System for any missing work order materials weekly
• Finalizing Work Orders weekly for close process
• Assisting in researching any issues with inventory shortages
• Helping with weekly inventory counts and year-end inventory process (occasional weekend will be required)
• Receiving in Purchase Orders for Materials and Supplies using lot codes
• Making sure lot trace process is followed by production during the issuing of material to work orders, communicating with production manager and supervisor of any issues

Other Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in management, bachelor’s may be preferred
• Experience in production
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
• Proficiency with computers
• Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions
• A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff

Back-up Personnel

• The Plant Manager and Production Accountant will serve as backup for the Production

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $31.25 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
