River Point Farms is seeking a results-driven and collaborative Production Scheduler to create and maintain the production schedule to ensure all production goals are achieved, deadlines are met, and the plant meets its production objectives. A successful Scheduler is well-versed in the production capabilities of the plant and ways to optimize them to maximize production performance and minimize process delays.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, evaluate, maintain, and distribute production schedules to the appropriate teams.
Plan, prioritize, and schedule all production activities to ensure on-time and in-full order fulfillment and optimal manufacturing efficiencies.
Review and analyze progress schedules, including labor productivity and resource usage.
Provide an analysis of any issues arising upon updating the schedule.
Communicate production schedule along with any necessary updates to the cross-functional team.
Coordinate cross-functional alignment to support production timelines for on-time order fulfillment.
Conduct forward-looking reviews of raw material availability to support production schedules.
Communicate gaps and assist in resolution.
Order and stock adequate materials to avoid future shortages.
Work with management on executing and implementing process improvements.
Champion a world-class safety culture through on-going trainings, positive promotions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and local policies including OSHA.
Qualifications:
2 years related industry experience with excellent time management and reporting skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field preferred.
Computer proficient with ability to learn new programs and systems including Excel and inventory software.
Strong demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Bilingual Spanish preferred.
Basic math ability with effective negotiating, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
