Overview
A sanitation Manager is generally responsible for providing strong, positive leadership to his/her team. The Sanitation Manager is responsible for leading and supporting all areas of sanitation to ensure cleaning procedures are followed, and all equipment and facility cleaning is completed in a manner that meets all cleanliness, sanitation, and disinfection requirements. The Sanitation Manager has responsibility to monitor equipment condition (visible) and communicate observations to the Maintenance Manager. They are responsible for the overall cleaning and sanitation according to Dunkin standards, franchisee policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable laws.
Responsibilities Include:
Able to perform all responsibilities of sanitation team members
Deliver training to sanitation team members
Create and maintain a quality and safety focused culture in the bakery
Communicates priorities, goals and results to team members
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing safety, food safety, and sanitation requirements and complying with all applicable laws
Completion of weekly labor schedule ensuring all shifts are staffed to meet all Master Sanitation Schedule tasks
Communicate staffing needs and recommendations to the Plant Manager
Conduct self-assessments and corresponding action plans
Execute Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety guidelines throughout the shift
Ensure all cleaning and sanitation tasks are complete each day, and all required documentation is completed and filed
Communicate observations to other managers to improve safety and efficiency
Prioritize and escalate issues as needed
Management Responsibilities Include:
Onboard and develop driver team members
Plan, monitor, appraise and review employee performance (Shared with Plant Manager or HR)
Utilize good communication, interpersonal, and team building skills
Continuously monitor quality and safety throughout the operation
Partner with other managers across the operation to improve the overall operation
Customer service communication with restaurants as needed
Education/Experience:
Basic computer skills
Fluent in spoken and written English
Basic math and financial management
Previous leadership experience in manufacturing, or distribution
College Degree preferred
