  • Position Title: Chemical and Biological Engineering - Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor Appointment Type: Faculty Job Description: Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, in the College of Engineering at Iowa State University (ISU), invites applications for the position of a full-time (nine-month) term teaching faculty at any rank, that is subject for renewal. Successful candidates will be expected to provide high quality instruction in undergraduate chemical engineering courses, including lecture and laboratory courses, as well as curriculum coordination and other responsibilities related to the teaching mission of the university such as committee work and mentoring of undergraduate students. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with a range of audiences. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience in chemical engineering. Industrial experience in chemical engineering. Evidence of ability to communicate with a range of audiences. Department/Program & College Description: The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) offers B.S, M.Eng., M.S., and Ph.D. degree programs in chemical engineering. CBE has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 400 students, a graduate enrollment of 90, 20 scientific staff, 12 administrative staff, and 28 faculty.
