    Description

    The Department of Professional Studies at Southeastern University is seeking an innovative

    and dedicated adjunct professor to teach undergraduate courses in computer science, with a

    focus on web development, data science, and cybersecurity. The successful candidate will have

    a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service and will actively engage

    with students and contribute to the university's mission.

    Responsibilities Will Include:

    • Teaching a variety of courses, including web development, data science, and/or

    cybersecurity in both face-to-face and online formats

    • Developing and updating course materials to reflect current trends and best practices
    • Mentoring and advising undergraduate students in both face-to-face and online

    environments

    • Engaging in research and scholarly activities
    • Participating in departmental and university service

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science,

    Cybersecurity, or a closely related field

    • Demonstrated expertise in web development, data science, and cybersecurity
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a

    closely related field

    • Prior successful teaching experience at the college level
    • Experience in curriculum development and assessment
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
    • Proficiency in specific software, programming languages, and tools, such as Python,

    JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React.js, SQL, R, Tableau, and/or relevant cybersecurity tools
