Professor - Drama teaches courses in the discipline area of drama and theater arts. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Drama provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Drama typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. Education, License or Formal Training:- Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.
- Have a fundamental knowledge of the activity.
JOB SUMMARY: Assist in the production of a student dramatic/musical production and to follow the policies and procedures of Park County School District #6.
Performance Responsibilities
Fall Play (Oct/Nov)
State Drama (Beginning of December)
Spring Play (March)- Supervise play production areas as assigned by the Play/Musical Director.
- Help with preparation of rehearsal schedules, costume designs, set designs, etc.
- Help with arrangements for borrowing proper, furniture, costumes, etc.
- Help with auditions and selections of cast and crew.
- Help with rehearsals and show performances.
- Recommend facility maintenance and improvements.
- Assume responsibility for the general upkeep and protection of equipment and materials associates with the activity, when the activity is in progress.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding the progress and development of the program.
- Prepare a verbal annual report highlighting the activity accomplishments, participation levels and recommendations for improvement of the activity.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk without fatigue and discomfort.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds and push or pull 50 pounds.
- Must be able to be heard up to 50 feet.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Presents a pro-active and positive image of the school, students and staff and fosters the district mission. - Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.
