CMT Project Manager (with PE)

    Join us at NOVA in Augusta, GA (or Columbia, SC), where we're seeking a seasoned CMT Project Manager to lead the charge in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing & Special Inspections.  The project manager will support writing proposals, mentoring field staff and project managers, client interactions, project management/review of field, lab and geotechnical reports.  Some field work will also be required managing projects through construction as needed.

    Primary responsibilities will include:

    • Field engineering duties including data gathering and reduction, layout of borings and test pits, analysis & fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects
    • Project management & reporting
    • Oversite of field inspection, sampling & testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, etc.
    • Geotechnical, CMT and SI Report preparation
    • Client consultation and maintenance
    • Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company.

    The preferred candidate will have:

    • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited College/University
    • 5 years applicable experience field experience inspecting and overseeing CMU Masonry, Concrete Reinforcement, Light Gauge Metal Framing, and Wood Framing as well as Geotechnical Construction Observations.
    • P.E. certification required
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to pass a background check and MVR report
