Professor - Foreign Languages teaches courses in the discipline area of foreign languages. Develops and designs curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement. Being a Professor - Foreign Languages provides tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework. Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities. Additionally, Professor - Foreign Languages typically reports to a department head. Requires a PhD or terminal degree appropriate to the field. Has considerable experience and is qualified to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels and initiates research and case studies in field of interest and may publish findings in trade journals or textbooks. Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field. May offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students. - Spanish
- Arabic
- Portuguese
- Ukranian
- Russian
- Mam
- Required, High School Diploma
- Required, native fluency in a language other than English
- Preferred, experience with educational interpretation
- Original criminal history clearance, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprint clearance (dated within the year), clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)
CCIU foreign language interpreters will provide interpretation in educational settings such as IEP meetings, evaluations, in-home and classroom visits, disciplinary hearings, parent-teacher conferences, open houses, PSSA/Keystone Exams, etc.
Schedule- Schedule will be as needed and on an on-call basis; 12 Months, non-exempt, 3 hrs per day
- Support band 12 $25.02/hour to $31.28/hour
