    Job Description:

    The Department is looking for a board-eligible/certified Sports Medicine physiatrist interested in joining a rapidly growing PM&R Program at one of the premiere medical centers in the South and a top 5 ranked public University.     This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, creative program and to collaborate closely with the faculty as UF Health is expanding PM&R Service lines. With access to state-of-the-art research and clinical facilities, professional development opportunities, and established UF and external resource networks, candidates can pursue a variety of opportunities for a successful career.

    The successful candidate must be an MD or DO board eligible/certified physiatrist with strong clinical and interpersonal skills, a commitment to academic physiatry, including resident and medical student teaching, and scholarship. The ideal candidate will have earned or be eligible for a CAQ in Sports Medicine as well as expertise in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound for both procedures and diagnostics.

    The clinical focus of this position will be the evaluation and management of competitive and recreational athletes of all levels and ages. There are opportunities to participate in the care of members of Team USA, both able-bodied and para-athletes. Coverage opportunities also include local high school sports, professional dance, and the potential for national/international coverage for Team USA and/or affiliated teams. Further, opportunities for scholarly and research activity in exercise and sports medicine-related subject areas are provided through the UF Health Sports Performance Center, UF Running Medicine Clinic, and the UF Health Throwing Clinic.
