Program Supervisor coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsible for aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Being a Program Supervisor develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules and develops solutions to program problems. Additionally, Program Supervisor recommends changes to improve process efficiency and alleviate process inaccuracy and duplication. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Program Supervisor contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.   • East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a part-time (20 hours per week) Program Coordinator for our Baby Steps Program in Newport, RI. The Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for outreach, building relationships, and retention of area families with children from zero to age five (5) for participation in Baby Steps.

    Responsibilities:

    • Outreach, recruit, and retain eligible families for participation in Baby Steps programs.
    • Develop community-based relationships and liaisons with community-based referring agencies to generate and cultivate referrals.
    • Develop, organize, and implement all events involving Baby Steps participating families.
    • Recruit participating families, implement curriculum, schedule vendors, recruit and communicate with volunteers.
    • Coordinate all aspects of financial recordkeeping for daily program operations, including, but not limited to purchasing supplies, submitting check requests, and entering invoices, into Microix.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive program database that can be accessed by multiple users and issue routine and special reports.
    • Provide supervision for Assistant Program Coordinator.

    Qualifications:

    • Associates’ Degree with 2 years of experience in early childhood or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Bachelors’ Degree with 3 – 6 months of early childhood experience
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to demonstrate, as a self-directed Coordinator, the skills of leadership, collaboration, and listening.
    • Spanish speaking strongly preferred but not required
    • Strong public speaking skills
