Property Casualty Underwriting Manager manages and oversees the property/casualty insurance underwriting program for individuals and/or groups, such as accident insurance, crime insurance, loss of property insurance etc. Implements guidelines and procedures regarding risk exposure, application renewal, acceptance, modification, and denial. Leads and trains the underwriters to ensure integrity of property and casualty underwriting activities and processes. Being a Property Casualty Underwriting Manager experienced in risk management and complex applications. Provides consultative support for large accounts. Additionally, Property Casualty Underwriting Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically requires certification as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Property Casualty Underwriting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Property Casualty Underwriting Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This position will provide support to IMA's Global Property & Casualty Team and customers through the entire life cycle. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and market global renewal submissions, including gathering information and the marketing and delivery of submissions to underwriters
- Communicate binding instructions for foreign package polices, controlled master programs, employee benefits plans, and check policies for accuracy
- Requests loss runs from carriers and international broker partners
- Verify and reconcile accuracy of premium and commissions
- Responsible for policy and information entry of reverse flow accounts for partner data systems and the creation of account comparison spreadsheets and summaries for all sold and bound coverages
- Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone, and in-person
- Respond in a timely, accurate and friendly manner to Producers, Account Executives, Account Managers and other internal associates
- Support the team by participating in the completion of all duties required to complete a project and service an account
- Support and demonstrate IMA's core values

Required skills and experiences:
- 3 years of similar or related experience required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience required
- Attain Property and Casualty license within first 30-90 days of employment, unless already licensed, required
- Experience with MS Office products required (specifically Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Attains and/or maintains professional designation or license: CISR and/or CIC preferred
- Intermediate EPIC Applied Systems experience preferred
- Limited travel required (less than 25%)
