ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY
SUMMARY : Under the general supervision, the Student Assistant is responsible for assisting with various tasks. This position is designed to provide opportunities to students to hone customer service skills, team development, and foster professional growth.
The student assistant will work on the Provost STEAM Academy Grant under the supervision of Sarah Meyer, Professor of Visual Communication Design and Dr.
Jessica Perez, Associate Professor CEMaST.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety) :
The student assistant will assist the Provost STEAM academy leadership team and staff with the goal of providing enriching STEAM experiences for high school students in the surrounding geographic region.
Specifically, the student assistant will assist the STEAM academy leadership team and staff with several aspects of the project, including but not limited to : student mentorships, office hours to consult on projects, leading small group discussions, facilitating the learning of MIT Beaverworks curriculum and other day to day tasks.
Students majoring in Design, Engineering or sociology are especially encouraged to apply.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Must have a high school diploma and be a college student with two years of college completed or have graduated in Spring 2024.
