Psychologist - Ph.D evaluates patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Diagnoses disorders, including nature and extent, and determines the appropriate course of treatment for the patient. Being a Psychologist - Ph.D uses talk therapy to treat patient illness or distress, cannot prescribe medication. Requires a PhD in clinical psychology. Additionally, Psychologist - Ph.D requires a valid state license to practice. Typically reports to a medical director. The Psychologist - Ph.D works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Description Of The Practice Group
Responsive Centers is a growing private practice group celebrating its 40 years of providing high-quality behavioral health care in Overland Park, Kansas. Responsive Centers currently has over 50 clinicians who include psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, and master’s level therapists. Responsive Centers has in-house credentialing and billing services in place which has resulted in a high payment collection history. Our office is located in the central business hub of Overland Park with very easy patient access.
Position Summary
Responsive Centers is looking to add multiple psychologists to its growing private practice group. All of these positions are 100% outpatient. Providers will provide services on-site and telehealth if necessary. We can be flexible on the schedule and fit whatever time that works for the psychologist. These positions can be full-time, part-time, after-hours or weekend hours. Duties include providing initial psychological assessments, psychotherapy, and psychological testing services.
Qualifications/Skills- PhD or PsyD licensure
- Kansas License required
- Having an additional Missouri License would be helpful
- Ability to utilize and document in electronic medical records
- Set your own schedule, a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Productivity Based Compensation, very competitive overhead.
- Classified as a 1099 independent contractor
- 50 Clinicians provide a diverse patient and referral mix
- The administrative team coordinates insurance paneling
- Responsive utilizes the Valent EHR for charting and billing

Located in Overland Park, Kansas, on College Boulevard, Responsive Centers has over 50 professionals in the areas of psychology, psychiatry, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, and education. Responsive Centers for Psychology & Learning was started in 1980 by a group of psychologists and educators who wanted to establish themselves as providers of premier psychological and educational services in the Kansas City area. Over the years, we have added new clinicians and expanded our range of services to include not only therapy services, but assessment services as well. Throughout our growth, we have maintained our focus on providing high-quality, caring services to our clients. Additionally, clinicians at Responsive Centers for Psychology & Learning are involved in multiple outreach programs in the community. For example, we have been involved in the Zero Reasons Why campaign to address adolescent suicide. We also have clinicians in various schools who provide therapy services on-site, reducing barriers to access to mental health services. Responsive Centers for Psychology & Learning focuses on the mental health needs of children, families, and adults, including both assessment and therapy services.
