Punch Press Set-up/Operator

We are considering a competent and professional Press Operator to set up dies in our modern 5T to 32T mechanical stamping presses and run jobs in a short-run environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Communicates with Management to set objectives/priorities.

· Follows instructions to set up and run machines.

· Sets up and operates punch press, slitter, and related machinery.

· Calculates material required per job.

· Perform basic preventive and corrective maintenance on machines.

· Inspects and measures using precision measuring instruments.

· Deburrs and preps parts prior to shipping.

· Observes good housekeeping practices by maintaining clean, safe work areas.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Setting up punch press dies, including exchanging die punch inserts into master die set.

• Set punch press die shut height and material feeder lengths.

• Run short run stamping jobs, typically 1-4 hours.

• Strong work ethic and good communication skills

• Detail oriented and good organizational skills

• Good mathematical skills.

• Reliable transportation

• Motivated Self Starter.

• 2 or more years of punch press experience.

• Technical Degree or Certificate preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• May be required to stand for long periods of time and make repetitive movements including but not limited to bending, lifting, reaching, and squatting.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

HOURS

• Full-time- flexible between 7AM and 5PM
• Overtime occasionally required.
