Sonnax Transmission Company is seeking a dedicated Senior Purchasing and Planning Manager to join their team in Bellows Falls, VT.

If you have at least 10 years of purchasing and/or planning experience in a manufacturing environment and at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, you are encouraged to apply!

Essential duties/responsibilities:

• Lead a team of buyers and planners to ensure that department objectives are met.
• Partner with key stake holders to identify, lead and drive process improvements.
• Partner with key stakeholders in making strategic decisions and executing activities that lead to acquiring materials, components, and services of meet the necessary quality, quantity, delivery, and cost to support the organization’s overall success.
• Ensure effective planning and procurement processes are in place to achieve operational and production goals.
• Support non-product purchasing requirements and initiatives.
• Manage supplier performance to ensure quality, on time delivery, fill rates, and service standards are met.
• Collaborate with suppliers on quality issues and drive the implementation of preventative/corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve supplier quality and delivery, and optimize inventory levels.
• Establish key performance indicators for purchasing, inventory, and schedule attainment; monitor ongoing performance and drive improvements in the KPIs.
• Assess, manage, and mitigate risk throughout the supply chain.
• Ensures compliance with procurement and safety policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
