Fibertek, Inc. is a leading developer of laser and electro-optic systems for the aerospace community, with key contributions to lasers for atmospheric sensing, laser communications, and lidar sensors for NASA, DoD, and commercial customers. We are looking for an experienced Planner and Purchasing Supervisor to purchase goods and services according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Purchases goods and services according to the companyâ??s policies and procedures.


• Lead, develop, train and mentor a team of buying professionals.


• Issuance, review and approval of compliant purchase orders.


• Works with vendors to negotiate the best price, value and terms.


• Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records.


• Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.


• Planning Duties- Manufacturing Order creation, maintenance, and expediting. Running MRO/CMR to determine subassembly requirements. Creating requisitions for subassembly requirements to be processed into Purchase Orders.


• Act with concerned internal teams to promptly resolve any manufacturing/process issues.


• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with inventory control, purchasing, engineering, assembly labs, quality assurance, and configuration management department.


• Work as Purchasing/Planning primary point of contact for ECR process. Provide system quantities and part dispositions for pre-release ECRs. Implement changes for released ECOâ??s.


• Performs other related duties as assigned.
