Job Summary
As a CDI Quality Assurance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our Clinical Documentation Integrity program. This involves conducting thorough quality analysis audits, assessing the work performed by CDI staff, and adhering to established policies and procedures. You will stay abreast of CDI standards, guidelines, and processes while demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Analyze cases for compliance with CDI concurrent review and query processes
Demonstrate expert knowledge of CDI processes, concepts, and applications
Document the quality of reviews and assess QA processes using audit tools
Utilize critical thinking and strong writing skills for medical review and summarization
Possess excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in departmental applications including WebEx Teams, Electronic Health Records, and more
Ability to work independently and show initiative in a remote work environment
Strategic Relationships
Develop collaborative relationships with CDI leaders to enhance patient care
Actively collaborate with colleagues and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
Deliver information effectively and adjust messages based on audience
Mentor others and contribute to professional development initiatives
Self-Development
Demonstrate proficiency in current and emerging technologies
Exhibit Excellent Personal Computer Skills And Proactive Problem-solving Abilities
Complete all mandatory and assigned education within established deadlines
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience with 3 years in inpatient CDI
Registered Nurse or equivalent nationally recognized credential (e.g., CCDS, CDIP, RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC)
Strong familiarity with MS Office, EMR systems, and related software
