    This team-oriented role partners with quality members, manufacturing, research and design, and engineering to provide inspection results as well as solve unique and challenging problems.

    The main responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Analyst include: ensuring components, sub-assemblies and finished goods meet production requirements. The review and interpretation of engineering and manufacturing specifications. Resolving quality issues through root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.

    Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities:

    • Reviewing design and manufacturing specifications to ensure products meet requirements;
    • Conducting tests and assessments on products to identify quality issues and root-cause;
    • Providing daily support for inspection and testing activities;
    • Improving quality control standards, operating procedures, and on-going quality control objectives to support business needs;
    • Coordinating quality objectives in cooperation with other department managers to maximize product reliability;
    • Support the precision measuring equipment selection, training, calibration, and management.
    • Identify and implement process improvements using lean principles;
    • Uses strong/advanced knowledge of GD&T to interpret engineering drawings and identify appropriate measurement techniques;
    • Serves as a Quality representative on cross functional teams, as needed;
    • Support the programming and troubleshooting of various automated inspection equipment such as OGP and CMM;
    • Building teamwork and promoting/enhancing communication;
    • Additional Quality functions as assigned;

    Education and/or Experience:

    • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business management (preferred) and 3 years of quality assurance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and related experience;
    • Excellent statistical analysis and six-sigma methodologies (certification preferred);
    • Good working knowledge of quality control standards and ISO compliance;
    • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of metrology equipment is required;
    • Proficient knowledge of GD&T is required;
    • Possesses a strong attention to detail for accurate and repeatable measurements, recording data and interpreting blueprints;
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, liaison capabilities and report-writing skills;
    • Experience with manufacturing and production machining processes and engineering principles;
    • Ability to work well in a team environment;
    • Possesses a bias for action, the ability to handle multiple priorities;
    • Exhibits an open attitude, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and embraces Continuous Improvement;
    • Familiarity with Quality practices and problem-solving tools – Six Sigma, A3, Root cause analysis, and 5 Why’s is preferred;
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to work in and around a high-paced manufacturing environment;
    • No restrictions wearing safety footwear, safety glasses and hearing protection as the individual job may require;
    • Ability to travel between buildings;
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
