Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare jobs in Florida

Mackenzie Stuart are currently partnered with a leading Personal Care Product Manufacturer seeking a Director of Quality Assurance.

The Director of QA will be accountable for developing, updating, documenting, controlling, and implementing the Company's Quality System. This role ensures the quality and compliance of all products and services, provides training, and offers clear instructions for quality control. Additionally, the QA Director leads quality interactions and offers direction with clients, regulatory bodies, and certification entities for the site.

Responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

• Develop and maintain documentation related to the Company’s Quality System, including SOPs.
• Ensure the completion and accuracy of all documentation records.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish company policies, procedures, and goals.
• Conduct and manage periodic internal system audits.
• Lead audits conducted by customers and independent or governmental organizations.
• Manage and facilitate cases, investigations, deviations, and non-compliance notifications.
• Oversee corrective and preventative action (CAPA) processes.
• Manage the change control system.
• Track quality lifecycles and perform periodic trend analysis as needed.
• Propose and discuss alternative methods and procedures to address problems and market opportunities.
• Assist in the validation and calibration of the Company’s machines and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and Health and Safety Requirements.
• Directly manage QC Line Inspectors and indirectly oversee lab, production, and graphics quality functions.

To be considered for the role, the following education, experience and qualifications are required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct supervision of QA/QC team members.
• Experience in the Cosmetic/Beauty/Personal Care Industry
