Quality Assurance Director- Healthcare is responsible for overseeing the quality management and quality improvement programs for a healthcare facility.     The Director of Quality Assurance and Training works collaboratively with the Senior Team to ensure that GGHS services and training comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Conducts internal audits of member records; Reportable Event follow-ups; medication storage and Medication Administration Records; program health and safety; HCBS compliance; and training transcripts at least quarterly and reports results to the Senior Management Team with recommendations and strategies for improvement if needed.
    • Conducts an internal utilization review of authorized hours and reports to the residential team.
    • Responsible for annual Customer Satisfaction Surveys.
    • Serves as the GGHS College of Direct Support (CDS) Administrator; conducts CDS Live training; and monitors training compliance in CDS.
    • Determines whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
    • Distributes written policies and procedures related to compliance activities.
    • Files appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies such as license applications, licensing requests, plan of corrective actions, renewals, or waiver submissions for all residential group homes.
    • Provides technical advice and assistance on the requirements of Section 21 and related federal and state disabilities laws and regulations.
    • Is knowledgeable of updates and changes happening under Section 21 and provides timely reports to department heads.
    • Provides Policy updates to Human Resources.
    • Identifies compliance issues that require follow-up or investigations.
    • Documents violations, notifies applicable departments of necessary repairs and monitors progress of repairs or corrections until completion.
    • Reports violations of compliance or regulatory standards to identified departments. Maintains documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes.
    • Weekly review of Agency completion of Documentation
    • Enrolls new clients into Therap.
    • Enter Client ISP into Therap for move in's and update annual plans.
    • Assists with additional projects as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Management or related field required with at least 3 years’ experience Healthcare Management, Case Management, or in a Human Services Management role
    • DSP Certification and ability to facilitate CDS Live Trainings
    • CPR Certification
    • CRMA certification
    • Ability to conduct Safety Care and CPR/First Aid Trainings once certified.
    • Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
    • Computer skills Preferred Skills:
    • Must have strong time management skills,
    • Exceptional Oral and written communication skills
    • Professionalism while conducting job duties.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete principles.
