About the Position: The individual selected for this position will plan, coordinate, and facilitate improvements of services that support administrative and clinical management functions at Griffin Memorial Hospital. This position facilitates the process of planning a systematic, organization-wide approach to training, compliance, and performance. This includes inspection, reporting, analysis, and corrective actions in order to maintain compliance with multiple governing bodies, including Joint Commission, and other supportive functions.

Education & Experience Required:
Completion of a master's degree in social work, psychology, or other behavioral sciences, nursing, public or business administration or related field AND five (5) years of professional experience in hospital administration or management; nursing; social work; or closely related area, or in a hospital providing direct patient care in one of the following areas: psychiatric, substance use disorders or psychiatric crisis services; OR bachelor degree and six (6) years’ experience in the above referenced; OR Registered Nurse with eight (8) years of experience in the above referenced. Of the required years of professional experience, two (2) years’ experience must be in a supervisory or management capacity.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Knowledge of public, hospital and mental health administration; information recourse management;; risk management and loss prevention; fiscal management personnel administration, management analysis; laws and regulations relating to the administration of mental health programs and hospitals; and of the functions and programs of the Department of Mental Health; skills in planning and managing comprehensive programs; in analyzing overall operational system s and recommending improvements; and in communicating with others, both orally and in writing; knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to mental health; JCAHO and HFCA standards; providing direct patient care; mental health services delivery system crisis intervention techniques; information resource management; of the functions and programs of the Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services and of medical terminology and charting patient behavior.
