Quality Assurance Nurse evaluates the quality of patient care. Monitors compliance with current laws, process improvements, and implementation of clinical best practices. Being a Quality Assurance Nurse reviews and analyzes customer complaints. May need to help train staff on new or improved clinical practices. Additionally, Quality Assurance Nurse requires an associate's degree/bachelor's degree and is licensed to practice nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Quality Assurance Nurse typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are adding a Quality Assessment Registered Nurse to our team!

    Here at Legacy Hospice, we hire highly talented and uniquely qualified nurses to provide exceptional oversight of our QAPI program and policies. Our QAPI nurses assess the collection, monitor, and submit quality measures that meet regulatory, accreditation, and standards of practice. Legacy Hospice expects our employees to communicate with compassion and empathy with their patients, families, and the communities we serve.

    Qualifications:

    1. Registered nurse with current licensure to practice professional nursing in the State.
    2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing.
    3. Three (3) to five (5) year's clinical nursing experience. (An emphasis on in-home care/hospice nursing is preferred).
    4. Excellent understanding of infectious disease control and prevention, performance improvement, quality assessment, and utilization management.
    5. Is self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
    6. Effective social interaction, communication, organizational skills and the ability to perform various tasks efficiently.
    7. Valid driver's license required due to travel requirement.
    8. Carry personal auto liability insurance coverage.

    Once you join the Legacy family, you will proceed with our training program along with support and resources from our leadership team.

    Within the first month, you will:

    • Get to know your team and become acclimated to the hospice philosophy.
    • Complete online training with your team.
    • Shadow your team members to learn more about hands-on hospice care

    We allow a flexible onboarding schedule to enable you to move at a pace that you are comfortable with. If you have any questions at any time during training, always feel free to ask your Branch Administrator or team members.
