Quality Assurance Specialist jobs in Kansas

Crawford County Mental Health Center is now taking applications for a full time Quality Assurance Specialist (QA). This role is responsible for the creation and management of the Continuous Quality Improvement Plan. The QA provides oversite of all data reporting and develops all quality measures and enforces risk management for the agency.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or computer science.
• Familiarity with healthcare or behavioral healthcare environment.
• Proficient in computer technology and systems with an in-depth knowledge of market trends and conditions.
• A green belt in six sigma is preferred but not required.
• Additional skills include strong leadership, management abilities, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Prior experience as a quality manager.
• Proficient in computer technology and systems.
• Good understanding of Microsoft applications (BI) and electronic healthcare systems.
• In-depth knowledge of market trends and conditions.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to positively influence others.
• Great team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute quality control procedures, policies, and standards in line with regulatory bodies and best practices to improve client health outcomes.
• Coordinate and develop quality monitoring tools to meet all regulation, statutes, licensing requirements, and certifications.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct frequent audits and inspections to evaluate quality, identify defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with the upper leadership team to set quality benchmarks.
• Execute tests and utilization reviews to check adherence of client care for meeting agency standards.
• Record findings and relay this information to the leadership team.
• Make crucial decisions in favor of cost-efficiency without compromising on quality.
• Oversee service design standards to ensure agencywide conformity in final service design.

Salary and benefits package starting at $60,000. Benefits package includes participation in KPERS Retirement System, health, dental, and life insurance.
