    The Position

    • The Director of Quality & Risk Management at Samaritan Healthcare is entrusted with the comprehensive oversight of planning, developing, coordinating, facilitating, and executing organization-wide quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
    • Departmental responsibilities encompass oversight of Quality, Risk Management, Peer Review, Grievance, Compliance, and Infection Prevention.
    • This position will report to the Chief of Patient Care Services and oversee a team of six direct reports.
    • This leader will focus on keeping the department primed for surveys, alongside duties such as evaluating the team and workload, refining the Peer Review process, and collaborating with the legal team to assess and improve the grievance process.
    • The ideal candidates will bring a wealth of experience in survey preparation, distinguishing themselves as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in quality. They will also have a demonstrated capability to build and maintain robust relationships.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
    • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
    • Applicants are required to have a minimum of seven years of experience in the healthcare industry, including at least five years dedicated to the development, monitoring, facilitation, and/or presentation of Quality Improvement and Risk Management programs. A minimum of three years in a leadership role is essential.

    • Fishing, waterskiing, canoeing, and kayaking are some of the activities available without leaving the city limits. Moses Lake also has a large community Aquatic Center. Other recreational activities in the area include biking, ice-skating, hunting, and snow skiing.
    • Moderate four-season climate weather pattern with average minimum December temperatures of 23 degrees and average summer maximum of 87 degrees and 300 plus days of sunshine makes for comfortable living.
