FORKLIFT OPERATOR - YARD WORKER

We are currently hiring at our Retail Center in Hudson, NH. Hudson Quarry specializes in hardscape and masonry products. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are dedicated to ensuring that customers are getting exactly what they want.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operates a diesel or electric powered industrial truck equipped with forklift
• Safely stack, move, load, and unload products, equipment, and/or materials
• Performs pre-operations and post-operations checks of forklift
• Performs preventative maintenance (PM) checks and PM tasks on forklift as required
• Assist customers with loading and/or unloading their vehicles
• Loads and unloads tractor trailer and delivery trucks
• Assist with maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the yard area
• Safely transports, stacks and stores palletized items, hardscape materials and other retail items with the use of a forklift
• Assists with inventory control and cycle counts of materials and merchandise
• Assists Retail Center Associates as required
• Assists with snow removal and other seasonal tasks as required
• Fixes or repairs wooden pallets
• Attends to customers in a timely, professional and courteous manner
• Performs other housekeeping tasks and/or duties as required or directed which may include tasks such as: sweeping, cleaning common areas, painting, etc.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of landscaping, masonry, and/or general warehouse products and practices
• Customer service
• Strong desire to learn & work in a team environment

EXPECTATIONS:

• Ability successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam
• Ability to frequently lift and /or move 50lbs – 100lbs
• Ability to work in inclement weather and temperatures for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work Saturdays (as needed) during busy season

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Experience:

• Warehouse Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
