Recreation Coordinator (Intramurals) jobs in Kentucky

• Responsible for interacting with community to best identify recreational programming interests and needs.

• Development of an ongoing recreational calendar of events to include weekly and monthly programming in accordance with the needs of the community.

• Assist with City website and social media presence.

• Responsible for maintenance and oversight of City Pool.

• Assist in overseeing seasonal staff at City Pool.

• Will be responsible for cleaning and sanitation of the Pool and surrounding areas as needed.

• Assist in chemical testing and daily pool maintenance.

• Enforce city policies, procedures and rules for Colvin Community Center and Pool.

• Money handling to include processing credit cards, cash, checks, printing receipts, etc.

• Assist and participate in all facets of the Senior Program.

• Coordinates with sports leagues - various youth and adult athletic programs including youth football, youth baseball, soccer and adult softball. (Any other sports as needed)

• Responds to questions, comments, and complaints from participants and/or the public regarding league issues\concerns in coordination with the Parks and Recreation Director.

• Coordinates and performs public relations for facility, program, or event. Provides information and answers questions; develops brochures, flyers, newsletters, calendars, and news releases; promotes facility, program, or event to civic groups, community organization, schools, the public or other individuals and groups; and prepares and makes presentations regarding services and activities offered.

• Assists in the performance of other departmental activities as required.

• Assist Building Attendant as needed for reservation scheduling.

• Work schedule may vary widely depending upon program needs with additional hours outside the normal work schedule. Must be able to work some weekends and evenings as necessary or required by scheduled programming, as well as all weekends during the pool season.
