  • The procurement manager is responsible for ensuring that Spinnaker Support spends money responsibly, within strategy and within budgets. Responsibilities include both strategy and purchasing. They create a buying strategy that accounts for the company budget and then source matching vendors, in collaboration with the relevant business department. The procurement manager is tasked with finding suppliers that meet requirements and demands at the right price. Procurement acts as a strategic liaison between stakeholders who have purchasing needs and vendors looking to partner with the business. They manage company spending, maximize the value of vendor partnerships, and mitigate potential third-party risks.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a similar field.
    • Minimum of 3-4 years of work experience, working in a high volume fast paced office environment with a high degree of responsibility.
    • Experience with software licensing and volume purchasing agreements for major enterprise system software suppliers (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft, Atlassian, etc.)
    • Experience in presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective.
    • Experience in planning and carrying out software license audits & reconcilements.
    • Experience with negotiating third party contractor agreements, including pricing, service requirements, material business terms and relevant KPIs for performance.
    • Experience in working with professional services firms, managing services, budgets, and negotiations.
    • Beneficial that the applicant has coursework in procurement / supply chain management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the CFO and department heads to understand the procurement needs across the company, in particular contractors, professional services, and 3rd party software.
    • Research suppliers and vendors that meet the goals of the company.
    • Ensure all contractors meet required standards (security, certification, etc.) for our customer needs.
    • Find suppliers that have certain certifications, accreditation, and insurance, that fit within budget parameters.
    • Forecast needs by department and by suppliers, with a clear focus on operational efficiency and cost reduction.
    • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs), where necessary and manage the RFP process through to selection of vendor and negotiation of the vendor agreement.
    • Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
    • Ensure partners continue to meet company needs and manage all renewals.
    • Collect and analyze data to ensure the company is making the best decisions.
    • Balance department budgets with needs.
    • Manage procurement software, including introduction of AI where possible.
