    Duties and Responsibilities:
    1. *Provide administrative, technical, and student support to the Registrar's Office of the William S. Richardson School of Law in coordination with the Law Registrar and Associate Dean of Student Services.
    2. *Update and maintain accurate student record information in the University (Banner and STAR) databases, the Law School internal databases, and hard copy files.
    3. *Process student academic requests, including verifications of enrollment, class standing, academic or disciplinary action, and Bar certification.
    4. *Interact with law students, faculty, and staff to evaluate and resolve complex student inquiries and/or issues and to take appropriate action under supervision.
    5. *Assist in the administration of in-class and take-home final exams. Manage the proctor volunteer program, schedule, and training sessions. Coordinate exams needing accommodations with support from the KOKUA office.
    6. *Assist in certifying graduating students for State Bar admission with supervision from the Law Registrar. Maintain historical records of students' Bar passage.
    7. *In conjunction with the Law Registrar and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, prepare and update the class schedule.
    8. *Coordinate updates with the University Scheduling Office and University database. Update Law School website with accurate information for students.
    9. Continually evaluate the functionality of the internal student data base and provide recommendations to improve the system and electronic records for all students at the Law School.
    10. *In conjunction with the Law Registrar, manage the Law Registrar's office correspondence.
    11. *Gather and compile data of student and other relevant information to create reports for the Dean, Associate Deans, and national surveys.
    12. *Prepare enrollment, class information, and course detail reports for the Law School administration and faculty.
    13. *Prepare paperwork and coordinate UH course creation process with the Office of Graduate Education and Office of Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
    14. Oversee the document imaging process for current and historical data and documents.
    15. Review and recommend improvements in office policies and procedures.
    16. Collaborate with students and other university and community offices, including but not limited to records, veterans’ affairs, and employment offices, to communicate student status/progress and to manage student data while upholding FERPA policies.
    17. Serve as a department resource in University databases, Banner and STAR.
    18. *Serve as Acting Law Registrar in the absence of the Law Registrar.
    19. Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    1. Possession of a baccalaureate degree in social sciences, business administration, education, or related field and 0 year(s) of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for student support services; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated
    2. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of student services demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology.
    3. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with student services.
    4. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the student services environment.
    5. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations.
    6. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals.
    7. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and apply word processing software.
    8. Knowledge of FERPA regulations and electronic databases.
     
    Desirable Qualifications:
    1. Working knowledge of STAR and Banner student information systems.
    2. Strong experience working with software including Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Google products and services.
    3. Experience working in a student services office at an institution of higher education.
    4. Knowledge of University policies and procedures as they pertain to the major duties of the position.
