As a Release Manager (RM), you will take End-to-End ownership of the SW release and delivery of our cloud-native middleware and DevOps platform within GPO. This is a new product organization Aptiv has launched recently and you will be at the forefront of industry transformation with cutting-edge technology, paving the way for the customer delivery of software defined vehicle solutions. The RM is expected to play a pivotal role in enhancing the SW development process, aligning upstream/downstream dependencies and ensuring high quality SW deliveries. Your Role: Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and key developers to establish, maintain and continuously improve a high quality SW development process, meeting ISO26262, ISO21434 and ASPICE requirements Ensure CI/CD and DevOps principles are in place, by eliciting the needed SW factory requirements for the DevOps team and work closely with DevOps Engineers to implement the needed tooling Establish the needed metrics, monitor continuously the status of the SW and act with urgency to rectify any failures Plan a continuous Middleware release strategy/cadence and collaborate with the various stakeholders to ensure releases are out according to the published cadence Prepare and package releases with all expected artefacts and organize the needed ceremonies to review and approve official major releases Act as the first interface and single source of truth to external stakeholders regarding the SW release status Work closely with external stakeholder to align the downstream SW integration to build the complete domain stack 8. Roll up sleeves and play where needed a range of roles including configuration and problem management Your Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related field 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with multiple delivered software projects in relevant applications Experience with software development and project management methodologies, including waterfall, agile, scrum, extreme programming, Kanban, and SAFe Experience developing processes and methodologies to suit specific engineering workflows and managing the needed cultural change Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management All-hands-on-deck approach with a strategic vision including excellent communication / presentation skills High degree of ownership, commitment, pro activeness, and flexibility Experience with Cloud-native technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, Service Oriented Architecture, POSIX-based embedded systems including virtualization, FUSA (ISO26262), Security (ISO21434) and ASPICE Nice to Have: Domain expertise in automotive and automotive functional safety requirements (ASPICE, ISO 26262) Extensive understanding of Service Oriented Architecture and POSIX-based embedded systems Why join us?
