Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team as a Research Medical Assistant. In this role, you will support our clinical research efforts and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge. This is a paid part-time position (Monday-Wednesday), offering valuable experience and opportunity for advancement in a busy and growing research environment.
Duties:
- Assist with data collection and entry for ongoing research projects
- Prepare and maintain research materials, such as lab equipment and study supplies
- Obtain demographics, medical and medication histories, and vital signs
- Perform laboratory procedures, including phlebotomy and venipuncture for blood processing and shipping
- Conduct EKGs and dermatologic procedures per study protocol
- Collaborate with research team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects
- File documents and maintain accurate study-related records f experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Assist in the preparation study subject and regulatory binders
- Other research-related activities as needed
Requirements:
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory/phlebotomy procedures
- Experience working in a medical office, hospital, and/or laboratory setting is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite and Google Docs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
