Residential Living Assistant, Sr. provides individualized care to the patients of a group home or residential living facility. Assists the patients on daily basis with personal care and hygiene. Being a Residential Living Assistant, Sr. transports patients within the facility or on supervised outings. May assist with meetings and appointments with healthcare providers. Additionally, Residential Living Assistant, Sr. administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Residential Living Assistant, Sr. works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. What you will be doing: You’ll be responsible for a variety of functions related to residential living including dormitory management in compliance with government and management directives.
Essential Functions- Coordinate and control group living conditions, evaluate situations and conditions within the dormitories and make decisions or recommendations.
- Perform administrative duties involving student passes, evaluations, progress reports, emergencies, and terminations.
- Communicate with families of students by mail and telephone as required to resolve problems and assure the well-being of students.
- Ensure incidents of misconduct are reported promptly and accurately.
- Inspect dorm, areas; ensure maintenance requests are completed as needed; direct dorm patrol and daily cleanup.
- High school diploma or equivalent. Supervisory experience preferred.
- One (1) year experience working with youth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer proficiency required.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
