Residential Living Supervisor supervises the work of a residential living staff. Provides training to resident assistants on proper care giving techniques. Being a Residential Living Supervisor may administer medications under the supervision of a nurse or physician. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Residential Living Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Residential Living Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES : Directly supervises maintenance staff in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance;
rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION / TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS :
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three years related experience in apartment maintenance or related field;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. Up-to-Date EPA Universal and HVAC Certification required from an approved and licensed authority.
Swimming Pool Certification (CPO) not required, but a plus. .
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
COMPUTER SKILLS :
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Order processing systems.
