Retail Store Construction Director jobs in New York

We want you to be part of The UPS store in Westbury, NY. The UPS Store Associate is responsible to help run day-to-day operations for this retail location. He / She may be required to open and close the center, help manage productivity and assure world-class customer service delivery of the team. The Associate is involved with profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, and business development. The ideal Associate candidate has a high school diploma/GED (college coursework or degree desired), 6 months - 2 years customer service and sales experience in a retail environment. Point of Sale (POS) and excellent computer/Internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform the job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to listen, follow, lead. He / She will have a dynamic personality and can help motivate a team to optimize performance. Graphics Design and production print experience is a plus. Ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain and harmonious relationships with customers and co-workers in person and over the phone. The Center Associate will be willing and able to work a flexible schedule of 40 hours per week that may span Monday through Sunday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive, sort and place mail in mailboxes accurately.

Consistently greet customers in a friendly manner within 5 seconds; identify customer needs, and offer additional services which could benefit them.

Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries through customer engagement and quality product delivery.

Answers phones courteously within 3 rings and provides accurate, detailed informationMaintains the correct uniform and the image of the store.

Continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership

Takes ownership of the customer's shipping needs and offers viable solutions

Takes action to learn all product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trendsOperates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others

Restocking Shelves and overall maintenance of the store

Packing according to the UPS store guidelinesT

aking out trash, cutting down cardboard boxes for recycling, and more on a daily basis

Receive and prepare documents for printing and finishing

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Performs other duties as assigned that is associated with the running of a store.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED required

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

Outstanding phone skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including spelling and math

Prompt, reliable, and responsible

Able to lift 50 pounds

Willing and able to work 40 hours per week for a 7-day work week

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hourShift
