Retail Store Manager manages the day-to-day operations of a retail store. Has responsibility of staffing, store compliance, inventory management, and promotion. Being a Retail Store Manager maintains and oversees accuracy of records associated with cash, receipts, inventories, and employee attendance. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Retail Store Manager typically reports to a senior manager. The Retail Store Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. We are looking for a team leader that is hands-on, can motivate and inspire others. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment and able to hold team members accountable. Store manager must be capable of leading as well as managing a team. Must have prior work experience in convenience stores or fast food establishment. And be capable of working a flexible 6 day work schedule. Prior work experience in an Arco AM/PM convenience stores is preferred.
Store Manager Job Responsibilities
Motivate employees and handle employee misconduct
Handle scheduling, invoicing, and back office paperwork
Cashiering and basic sales associate tasks
Deliver quality customer service
Resolve customer disputes
Maintain and implement corporate and company standards
Analyze monthly sales to improve profit margins, sales, and evaluate inventory
Train and guide new employees
Coach and motivate your team (including the car wash employees)
Develop and implement sales/up-selling strategies to boost store/car wash sales
Requirements
Must have prior management experience in convenience stores, fast food or retail
Must be of 21 years or older
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to work 6 days a week and 45-50 hours weekly
At least 3 years of sales/retail experience
At least 2 years of management experience
Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to obtain TAM Card, Sheriff Card, and Health Card
Must be drug-free, background check applicable
Dependable, trustworthy, and hardworking
Essential Job Functions
Lifting heavy stock (50 LB)
Standing 8 hours daily
Using a computer for 3 hours daily
Moving in and out of Cooler/Freezer
Bending/Squatting multiple times
Standing and performing physical labor 8 hours daily
