Revenue Accountant jobs in Massachusetts

IDG is searching for a Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. The Revenue Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue recognition processes, which are essential for financial reporting and decision-making within the organization. The Revenue Accountant will need to closely collaborate with other Revenue team members and cross-functional teams in order to complete required tasks for the month end closes.

Responsibilities:

• Follow revenue recognition processes and procedures, to ensure compliance with group policies and US GAAP ASC606.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to revenue processes.
• Handle and process revenue transactions in IDG ERP and revenue related module, including but not limited to revenue transaction data input in the system.
• Contribute to the accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in compliance.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with other Revenue team members to closing deadlines are met.
• Assistance with group audit by handling requests from external auditors.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, financial and organizational skills.
• Possess the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities efficiently
• Supporting Sales teams by answering questions and addressing queries from Sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• years of experience in accounting area

• Prior revenue accounting experience is a plus.

• in Microsoft Office suite, especially, Excel

• role will be based in our Needham MA office with a hybrid schedule to work 2 days per week in the office.

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $55,000 and $62,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
