Position Goal

This position is responsible for managing all aspects of billing, and assigned staff.

Position Responsibilities

• Manages clinic claims for electronic or hard copy mail and forwards to appropriate third party payors.
• Reviews claims to make sure that the payor specific billing requirements are met, follows up on billing, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers questions and updates accounts as necessary.
• Manages assigned Payor hold/Manager hold buckets. Communicates with appropriate staff members.
• Manages and educates team to ensure KPI performance is within or greater than expectations.
• Manages and approves payroll activities for assigned staff members.
• Assists patients with questions/payments on their accounts (escalated)
• Appropriately appeal insurance claims in a timely manner.
• Research and write up refunds.
• Establish/maintain relationships with Hughston Clinic Orthopaedic staff and physicians.
• Responsible for training new hires under the assigned umbrella
• Travel to assigned locations as needed to provide training to ensure accurate billing practices are followed.
• Responsible for direct communication to providers, executive leadership, management and staff members.
• Provide financial reporting to leadership and/or physicians
• Develop/Management of Budget as it relates to position.
• Direct backup to the CRCO for financial reporting

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Special Qualifications: 

• Must be able to work independently. 
• Must have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Travel Required
