Rigger facilitates the movement and positioning of heavy equipment, materials and cargo. Sets up rigging, slings, pulleys, winches, dollies and ropes to safely maneuver loads. Being a Rigger coordinates moving activities with others using hand or other signals. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Rigger may be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Requires 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Position Overview: The Rigger will effectively and efficiently install, maintain, repair, and replace sailboat rigging and sail systems. Riggers are mechanically inclined and experienced in the use of basic hand tools, air tools and electric power tools. The Rigger will be a year-round position for candidates willing to do other tasks in the off-season around the yard not pertaining to rigging.

Conanicut Marina is a growing marina and service yard in Jamestown, RI. We have three locations on the island. We are looking to provide onsite/mobile service to our locations and potentially personal residences on the island.
