Fort Collins, Colorado area consulting firm seeking full-time employee to perform Right of Way (ROW) acquisitions and maintain records. Prefer experience working with electrical utilities multiple governmental agencies. Experience in appraisal and acquisition of rights of way is beneficial. Position will require working outside as well as in the office.

• Exemplary interpersonal interaction, customer service, and relationship management experience along with strong written and verbal communication is a must.
• Ability to learn to analyze and interpret plats, legal documents, and governmental regulations.
• Must be organized and possess problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Knowledge of county record systems and government GIS software preferred.
• Skilled in internet research, project management and use of MS Office Suite Possess a willingness to learn and adopt new solutions as required.
• Must possess valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Experience:

• Preferred: 2 years of experience and/or training such as the following:
• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Willing to train the right individual

Reliable Power Consultants is currently seeking a Right of Way Agent (ROW Agent) for the acquisition of electrical and telecommunication rights of way for new and existing lines in a timely manner and on terms that are outlined by our clients. ROW Agent will coordinate all land-related studies, reports and surveys. They will complete all necessary steps to acquire permits and/or crossing agreements from various entities. They will maintain all records associated with ROW acquisition.

Essential Job Functions:

• Review all available public records for ownership, existing easements, or potential areas of conflict to determine required right of way to be acquired.
• Negotiate for and secure rights of way across private, public, and Sovereign lands.
• Support the completion of NEPA and other environmental and/or cultural reports.
• Review land surveys and development plats.
• Work with numerous governmental and quasi-governmental agencies, including but not limited to, BIA, BLM, BOR, USFS, USFWS, CDOW, ACOE, Southern Ute Indian Tribe, state, county and city governments, ditches and utilities to obtain all necessary permits and licenses to complete construction projects.
• Preparation of easements, crossing agreements, permits, leases, assignments, other legal documents, and title insurance as required.

Pay: $21.00 - $27.00 per hour
