  • POSITION SUMMARY Supervises QSR attendants, overseeing QSR front-of-house operations, ensuring the utmost in efficiency and service. Inventories, restocks, and keeps QSR areas running smoothly. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Welcome and connect with every Guest who approaches the QSR. Supervise food service and concession team members. Foster and promote a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and team member morale. Monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with all phases of service, sanitation and safety procedures. Recommend and assist in team member evaluations and corrective action. Respond to call-out's, adjust staffing to ensure appropriate coverage.    Promote positive public relations. Ensure all orders are delivered within designated timelines. Ensure the dining room is kept neat and clean. Ensure proper procedures are adhered to while handling emergency situations. Inform staff of daily specials and special events, programs, or new policies. Ensure food products are up to standards and served on time. Monitor all cash register and cash handling functions to ensure Point of Sale (POS) compliance. Responsible for daily receipts and monthly inventories. Resolve guest complaints in a timely and professional manner. Train new team members; supervise ongoing training as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have the ability to: Use all equipment associated with the position, including but not limited to POS (Point of Sale), and computer. Distinguish between different denominations of currency and make change. Communicate effectively always, with guests as well as all levels of team members. Review and comprehend all necessary documentation. Inspect and maintain the cleanliness of areas for which responsible. Ability to manage and resolve guest issues. Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to train all staff positions.  Ability to work in a high-pressure environment. Ability to work well with subordinates, management and guests in a professional manner. Effectively and efficiently move around work area. Lift, push, carry, and pull loads up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Walk, squat, stand, stoop, kneel, and twist. Stand for long periods of time. Operate in a working environment that is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, the severity of which depends upon guest volume and may be exposed to second-hand smoke. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Two (2) years experience in Food service with at least one (1) year of managerial or supervisory experience required. Obtain and maintain valid food handlers certification and alcohol serving certification before starting employment. Experience in a similar position preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a high-paced and stressful environment. Strong organizational skills. Money handling skills, and computer skills. Demonstrate basic math skills. Knowledgeable in areas regarding QSR operation and equipment. Understand and operate registers/point of sale systems using American monies. Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance. Able and willing to work all shifts including, nights, weekends, and holidays. REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the other duties described herein, each and every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class C Gaming License through the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission. Must have a MAST Liquor permit as well as a Food Handlers Card. Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Casino. Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations. Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco. Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department, especially the WA State liquor laws in place and Health Codes. Have knowledge of the State's programs to address problem gambling. Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission and Minimum Internal Control Standards. Take the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management. Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any staff member that they have knowledge of.
