Sales Director directs sales organization operations and develops the tactics, operational plans, and processes to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Establishes and implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Director oversees goal setting for departmental and group levels of the sales organization and uses data and technology to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Spherion Staffing is looking for an experienced Sales Director in the Minot, ND market. The Director role will coach a team to achieve sales volume, profitability, and margin goals for the established area. The Sales Director must be focused on providing the company with profitable growth through the sale and distribution of our products and superior customer service.
Salary $95-135k/year DOE
Responsibilities:
-Oversee the day-to-day output from the market area, providing an elevated level of customer service, analyzing the customer base and identifying potential sales opportunities
-Work closely with Account Sales Reps to drive sales and margin in all market channels
-Ensure that programs sold at key account level are executed in the marketplace
-Work with the delivery and merchandising crew to ensure flawless execution at account level and to ensure delivery at retail is meeting the customer's expectations
-Develop and maintain appropriate communications to keep Account Sales Representatives informed of sales activity to insure flawless execution at customer level
-Develop a clear understanding of the company's marketing strategies, along with customer's goals
-Prepare and present periodic business reviews to assigned customers
-Work with other departments to ensure proper pricing
-Understand and embrace the company's merchandising standards for the various products and categories
-Review daily workload and make adjustments as needed to cover for fluctuations in volume, sickness, etc. when needed
-Solicit feedback from key people at account level on an ongoing basis regarding the performance of direct reports within the account; follow through with employees to correct any issues
-Proactively communicate to other department's business issues, development opportunities, and competitive activities etc. influencing the business along with an action plan to address them
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fields is preferred but not required
-5 yrs sales and/or management experience in a fast paced, highly competitive environment
-Direct Service Delivery (DSD) or General Product Company (GPC) experience preferred
-Strong analytical and organizational skills
-Excellent communicator with the ability to motivate a team
-Possesses a coaching and mentoring philosophy
-Customer focused with the ability to create win - win situations for the company and the customers
