We are a private company in growth mode with an exciting product, FirmGuard (www.firmguard.com), that is primarily targeted at IT MSPs (Managed Service Providers). To increase the effectiveness of the FirmGuard sales team, we are looking for an experienced sales engineer with hands-on technical skills. The sales engineer will lead product demonstrations, provide customers with installation assistance (e.g., help modify installation scripts) and generally act as the liaison between customer and FirmGuard engineering team to help debug technical issues.
Location: On-site in Campbell, California or Beaverton, OR

Responsibilities
Perform demonstrations of the FirmGuard product with a view to clearly communicating the value proposition to potential customers.
Perform installations of the FirmGuard product in coordination with the customer.
Liaise with the wider sales & marketing team to communicate learnings and to identify and rectify bottlenecks in the sales process as it relates to demonstrations and installations.
Liaise with engineering and product team to identify product improvements based on customer feedback.
Create related process maps or documentation outlining the demonstration and installation process, iterating and updating documentation following optimization of processes.
Build scripts and reports in programming languages such as SQL to handle technical issues.
Qualifications
3 years of Sales / Solutions Engineering experience
Experience working directly with a software engineering team to help (e.g., obtaining log files) debug customer issues
Experience and comfort writing installation scripts (e.g., PowerShell)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
BA/BS degree and 5 years of relevant work experience
