Sales Manager manages the sales teams and supporting operations required to implement the organizational sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and accomplish financial objectives. Implements processes, tools, and structures to support the sales organization's operations. Being a Sales Manager conducts long-term and short-term goal setting for teams and individuals and uses data to measure and monitor sales processes, identify issues, and enhance performance. Monitors the industry, business environment, competitors, and customers to develop action plans for expanding and retaining the customer base. Additionally, Sales Manager uses customer feedback and insights to collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and suggest new products. Builds and develops effective sales and support teams with recruiting, mentoring, and training. Participates in meetings, presentations, and demos to support or close strategic or high-value sales. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Key Areas of Responsibilities

    • Lead a Sales Team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
    • Develop sales representatives in the areas of product knowledge, sales activities, sales strategies, and time/territory management.
    • Achieve individual as well as team goals and quotas.
    • Adhere to company's policies, programs, and procedures.
    • Provide input on sales structure, direction, programs, and policies.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through personal and professional workshops, networking, and seminars.
    • Provide support to sales team throughout the sales process.
    • Maintain our ethics and integrity while developing trust & respect with internal and external customers.


    Qualifications:

    • Highly motivated to succeed and coach/develop others to achieve success.
    • Ability to develop and train successful sales representatives.
    • High drive/energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent negotiation and building relationship skills.
    • Ability to bring market knowledge to sales processes.
    • Must demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making ability.
    • Ability to manage the sales process and provide sales planning.
    • Well-developed multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detail orientation skills.
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office, e-mail, sales prospecting database and internet functions.


    Minimum requirements:


    • H.S. Diploma, GED or equivalent with 6 years of sales management.


    • Four-year college degree and 2-5 years sales management experience preferred.
