Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center is a 501c3 agency, incorporated in 1994. The nonprofit agency has grown and developed programming in response to the needs of cancer patients, survivors, and care partners in the Council Bluffs-Omaha metro and Southwest Iowa rural communities. Funding sources to support this much-needed programming have diversified over the years, allowing all services to be offered free of charge to those whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Position Description:
The Executive Director coordinates all agency operations with the primary focus on creating conditions for financial success. Internally, the director will collaborate with the Board of Directors to accomplish strategic planning and implement plans in the areas of development, financial accountability, and public relations. The position supervises programming and administrative staff, and reports to the Board of Directors. Externally, the director will also develop and maintain strong relationships outside of the agency – with community and health systems, donors, media, etc.
Executive Director Job Responsibilities:
FINANCES AND DEVELOPMENT: (50% of Role)
